VIRGINIA BEACH - For the first time, dogs have crashed the party at THE ARTIST GALLERY's most popular exhibition and sale. This year's fundraiser for the Virginia Beach SPCA features both dogs and cats in peaceful (and beautiful) coexistence on the walls of the gallery. Bring pet food for either species for admission.
The gala opening reception of It's Raining Cats and Dogs will be free and open to the public from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. Cat or dog attire is welcomed and Peoples Choice awards will be presented.
Refreshments will be served and many participating artists will be in attendance. It's Raining Cats and Dogs" will be on view through May 31st, 2007.
The ARTISTS GALLERY is located at 608 Norfolk Avenue, Virginia Beach. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. The ARTISTS GALLERY is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, managed entirely by its artist members. The gallery provides space for working, exhibiting and showcasing original fine art by local and regional artists.
The Artists Gallery, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a working marketplace for visual artists, offering visitors the opportunity to experience artists creating, displaying and selling their original works of art. In addition to new works on display, the gallery sponsors group shows and individual exhibitions by members and invited guest artists.
