About The Artists Gallery
The Artists Gallery is incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, managed entirely by its artist members. Founded in 1988, we provide space for working, exhibiting, and showcasing original fine art by local and regional artists. The Gallery requires only a low commission so that buyers will get great value from their purchases from The Artists Gallery.
We have four levels of membership:
- Resident Artists - have studios and work on the premises.
- Exhibiting Artists - rent wall space, or exhibit space, and volunteer one day of the month in the gallery.
- Associate Members - exhibit their work with the group at exhibits outside the gallery.
- Sponsoring Members are individuals who may not be artists, but help us continue to bring the best in local fine art to our community.

In addition to our member artists and theme shows, guest artists are invited for solo exhibits. Annual exhibits are open to member artists as well as local and regional artists, such as our most popular exhibit, "It's Raining Cats and Dogs", an annual fundraiser for the Virginia Beach SPCA, and "Fabulous Forgeries", our tribute to the great Masters.
A Unique Gallery Experience
At the gallery and in the artists' studios, you will find a wide selection of ceramics and clay pottery, paintings - framed and ready for hanging or unframed, prints - signed and numbered, Giclee prints, photographs, and many mixed media pieces of art displaying a wide variety of styles and tastes.
The Artists Gallery is often described as an intimate, friendly place, where you are welcomed by the artists. Watch an artist create a beautiful painting or add the final touches to pottery, jewelry or hand-painted silk scarves. Buy an original art work directly from the artist who created it. If you don't see what you want, you can commission an artist to create a piece just for you.
